Sony has dismissed reports of an imminent Trophy-adding Singstar patch as rumor, according to CVG.
Supposedly, some of the 35 new Trophies included in the patch would also provide Home rewards.
Which would be neat. More on this soon, hopefully.

Paulina Bozek leaves Sony to join Atari
Update: SCEE just put out a statement on this, saying Bozek will be missed.
Iconic SingStar boss Paulina Bozek has quit Sony to take a job with Phil Harrison’s Infogrames.
Bozek is now development director of a new online game studio at the firm.
“I am very excited to be joining Atari at this pivotal time for both the company and the industry,” said Bozek.
“There is a huge opportunity as gaming platforms become more ubiquitous, more connected and attract more mainstream audiences. Atari has a great vision for the future and I can’t wait to start realising that vision in new products and services.”
Harrison, obviously, is quite pleased.
“This is a significant step in expanding Atari’s online game development capability,” he said.
“Paulina is one of the industry’s most respected creative leaders with an outstanding track-record of commercial and creative success and I’m delighted that she will bring her unique vision, consumer insight and proven ability for creating amazing entertainment experiences to Atari.”

SingStar PS2-PS3 compatibility explained
The PSBlog has been updated explaining just how the whole Singstar PS2-PS3 cross compatibility feature announced yesterday will work.
“SingStar track compatibility across PS2 & PS3 is enabled via the Disc Swap feature,” says the piece.
“While playing a SingStar PS3 disc, at the song select screen, hit the [select] button to swap discs and play the songs from the inserted disc. The songs are not saved to the hard drive.”
The feature will be delivered via a free game update later this year, apparently, and will work with all current SingStar PS3 discs. “It will also be included on future SingStar PS3 discs releasing next year.”
Also, your PS3 won’t need a firmware update either.
Well, glad that’s cleared up.

GC08: “New” version of SingStar seen in Sony press conference rehearsal
Update: We’ve just found out that the next-gen of EyeToy’s going to be shown in the conference as well as this stuff.
Too funny. Gamekyo managed to see some of Sony’s press conference rehearsal at Games Convention yesterday, and watched a “new” version of SingStar feature heavily.
The French site also saw what is apparently the first in-game footage of Quantic Dream’s Heavy Rain being shown, as well as a new trailer of LittleBigPlanet, with producer Pete Smith coming on-stage to give a final public walkthrough of the game ahead of its release.
Only part of the show was seen, so don’t cry into your cereal just yet. Sony’s conference takes place at Games Convention at 5.00pm CET today.
Thanks, Kotaku.

Singstar: Hits from the Musicals rumoured
This Hexus report is rumouring that Sony’s working on a SingStar game based on classic musicals, named, aptly enough, Singstar: Hits from the Musicals.
Apparently, the following tracks are to be included:
- Bad Guys – Bugsy Malone
- Can You Feel the Love Tonight? – The Lion King
- If I Were a Rich Man – Fiddler on the Roof
- Over the Rainbow – Wizard of Oz
This is actually cool. Singing If I Were a Rich Man is approximately 40,000 times more preferable than scratching along with Boyzone. We’re not 12. We’re real men.
More on this soon, hopefully.
