Sony did not break Australian privacy laws in response to the PSN breach according to Privacy Commissioner
According to a declaration made by the Australian Privacy Commissioner, despite Sony’s delayed response in informing consumer’s of April’s PlayStation Network security breach, it has been determined that the company has not breached the nation’s Privacy Act.

Data-security research firm suggests PSN breach could cost Sony over $24 billion
The Ponemon Institute, a data-security research firm, has estimated that the total cost of research by Sony over the PSN breach could cost the firm over $24 billion.
