Computer science added to UK’s English Baccalaureate qualification
Computer science has been added to Britain’s English Baccalaureate (EBacc) qualification. The move was announced by Education Secretary, Michael Gove, who confirmed that it would be added alongside biology, chemistry and physics. Students working towards an EBacc can choose any three of the four sciences to meet the requirements of the qualification.

Government to axe current ICT program for “open source” curriculum from September
The Government will announce later today it’s to scrap the current existing ICT (Information and Communications Technology) program in schools in England from the start of the new term in September.

UK’s Education Secretary to back computer science in schools, more students should learn coding
Michael Gove, Education Secretary for the UK’s Department for Education, has publicly backed a skills review co-authored by Ian Livingstone and agrees that the digital skills gap affecting UK games development studios can be curtailed by supporting computer science as part of the national curriculum.
