US PlayStation Plus members will receive free copies of Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 this week. As detailed on the US PS Blog, this week’s update also opens the God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta to members, provides a 50% discount on gorgeous strategy game Eufloria, and offers a free piece of DLC for NCAA Football 13.

The US PS Blog brings confirmation that Mega Man 9 is to hit PSN today. There’s a movie after the break.

Still no news on the rest of the update, which should include WipEout HD. Hurry up, SCEE.

According to the IGN movie after the link, Mega Man 9′s been confirmed for both Xbox Live and PSN. The old skool platformer was thought to be WiiWare-only. Watch it to the end. Thanks, Blerk and Kotaku.

We’re not that bothered about missing E3 this year, but we do wish we were going to Comic Con. Capcom’s detailed its showing at the San Diego event, taking place just after E3, and it sounds “fun”. Aside from the enjoyable aspect, the firm’s promising an exclusive Resident Evil 5 trailer, so that’s a good enough reason to not let your guard down after E3.

Vivendi’s making a big showing there as well, we’re told, so if you’re in the area following the LA show it may be worth hiring a car and driving south. We did that once. We were trying to get to Mexico. We’ll tell you about that another time.

Well, more or less. GoNintendo managed to sift through Famitsu’s Japanese-flavored website and discover Mega Man 9’s launch price: 1,000 Wii Points, aka $10.

Mega Man 9 is set to hit Japan’s iteration of WiiWare in September, but Capcom has yet to narrow down a release date outside the land of the rising sun.

If the game lives up to expectations, this price is an absolute steal. If not, well, you get what you pay for, right?

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power, Mega Man 9 will be a WiiWare game. It’s a 2D affair harking back to the NES days, apparently. There’s a ton of information in this NeoGaf post, should you care.
