New screenshots for God Eater 2 have appeared over on Siliconera, each showing the various weapons, environments and characters in the game. You should head over there for a look. Below the break, there’s also three videos of the game which were released by Nacmo yesterday. God Eater 2 will release later in the year on PSP and Vita in Japan. A western release has yet to be announced.

Namco Bandai a started promoting God Eater 2, and Famistu has kicked things off with a five page look at the sequel in its latest issue. The feature notes that while the game is still slated for PSP, a few changes have occurred, such as a revamp of the visual style, along with the inclusion of new elements, and a new type of multiplayer mode. Famitsu also said a major surprise related to the title is expected in the fall. Game’s out sometime this year. Thanks, Andriasang.

Namco Bandai’s PSP demo for God Eater has been downloaded over 1 million times since its release through PSN on November 19, according to Kotaku.

God Eater was officially announced this week, and today, Namco released a video of it.

Namco Bandai has announced God Eater for PSP. You may recall it showed up on the US Trademark website back in May.

It’s an RPG that depicts the struggle of divine creatures called Aragami and the God Eaters who seek destroy them. Your job is to convert the Aragami to your side.

Basically, it’s a Monster Hunter game but goes at a “much faster pace” than Capcom’s series say the firm.

It’s only been announced in Japan at this time, but keep checking back with us.

Namco has filed a US trademark for a PC, console and mobile title called God Eater.

God Eater was also trademarked in Japan in October 2008.

Not much is really known other than that, and the trademark lists it for the above referenced ports. This is not an indication that it was announced for any specific platform and no word on content was included.

So it’s a mystery. But you like those.
