Frozen Synapse developer Mode 7 Games has published a video of its indie sash running on iPad, showing off the game’s new touch-based UI, and confirming cross-play across iOS, Android, Mac, Linux and PC.

Frozen Synapse will land on iPad in May, according to Mode 7. Announced at the end of 2011, the game will contain Cross-play between iOS, Android, Mac and PC versions and players will be able to start playing on one system and resume their game on another. The Red DLC which adds co-op and new missions will also be made available. The Android tablet release will occur after the launch on iPad. Thanks, Joystiq.

A Frozen Synapse: Collector’s Edition will be released in the UK next month. It contains the core title which is compatible for both PC and Mac, includes the soundtrack, a Steam key to hand out to a pal, a sticker and a postcard wrapped up in a special box. Also included is the Red expansion pack which includes co-op, new missions, a new mode and a new game unit. Tactical battler Frozen Synapse has spawned a new expansion, Red, which includes 15 single-player campaign levels, an extra unit, and an entirely new multiplayer mode. Although there’s a pile of new content, you don’t need the pack to play with those who have it, and vice versa. Grab the expansion for $10 through directly through Mode 7 or on Steam, or hit the break for a list of the contents and a trailer.
