Far Cry 3 gameplay shows hallucinations, shooting
A video for Far Cry 3 has popped up on YouTube, and it shows around 6 minutes of gameplay on Xbox 360. In it, you’ll see a fella get stabbed from behind with his own knife; some running and gunning; the tossing of grenades; explosions; and some nice, drug-induced hallucinations. Watch it below. Game’s out in September on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Thanks, RPS.

Far Cry 3 screenshots show explosions, crazy locals
Ubisoft has released a batch of screenshots for Far Cry 3 to go along with game’s first trailer, which was released yesterday. The game takes place on an island where some crazy hoodlums cause havoc for unwitting tourists James Brody, his lady love, and a friend. James’ girlfriend gets kidnapped, and as he searches for her, he starts suffering from mental breakdown and had hallucinations based on an “unreliable perspective.” Other occupants of the island are suffering from the same mental issues. It all sounds very interesting, and you will be able to try it out for yourself on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 when the game releases in September. You should also check out this piece regarding the game’s motion capture over on the EU PS Blog to get more insight into the game’s creation.

IGN’s posted a trailer for Uwe Boll’s straight-to-DVD Far Cry movie. It’s after the break.
Looks OK! It’s got German people looking moody and an exploding helicopter. That’s all we ever want from anything, to be fair.
Take a look.

Far Cry 2 in March, says developer
According to this interview with Ubisoft Montreal’s Alexandre Anacio, Ubi’s previously announced “spring” date for the lovely-looking, Africa-based shooter sequel is on the money.
“If all goes well, somewhere in March,” was Anacio’s response to a question on release date.
The news will delight many. Recently released videos show exceptional visuals, and while little solid information’s ben released on the game since it was first shown at Games Convention last August, shooter fans have long been tipping Far Cry 2 as one to watch.
Have a read through that interview. Lots of good stuff in there about confirmation of multiplayer, NPC interaction, and so on.
