Lightning Strikes: Second batch of DCUO DLC focuses on The Flash
SOE has announced the second downloadable pack for DC Universe Online, Lightning Strikes, will be released later this year, adding electricity powers and a new adventure starring the The Flash.

DC Universe Online gains 120,000 new PC players after going free-to-play
SOE president John Smedley announced on Twitter today that 120,000 new players signed up for DC Universe Online on PC since going free-to-play on November 1. Smedley also revealed that the game’s number of concurrent users increased 400% during that time. Numbers for the PS3 version were not provided. The game has seen a few server issues since Tuesday due to the influx of new players, but hopefully Sony will get things sorted soon. DCUO going free-to-play will “open up” the game to more players, says SOE
Lorin Jameson, executive producer of DC Universe Online, has said adding a free-to-play business model to the MMO will “open up” the game to more players.

DCUO servers merging into MegaServers starting August 8

Wes Yanagi, senior producer at Sony Online Entertainment Austin, has announced over on the US PS Blog, that the firm plans to offer a new lock-in rate for DC Universe Online.
