Call of Duty XP 2011: Marisa Miller and Nick Swardson play paintball
During Activision’s Call of Duty XP event last weekend, many, many people participated in team paintball in a real-world recreation of Modern Warfare 2′s Scrapyard level. Many, that is, except for me. I stood in line for it for two hours before finally giving up, sunburnt and ready for something to eat at Burger Town. However, model Marisa Miller and actor-comedian Nick Swardson were able to get their chance, and below the break you will find a short they created regarding the experience. It’s rather silly, but enjoy anyway. I never had the opportunity to meet Miller, she was too pretty and I was intimidated, but Swardson was a super nice fella.

Robert Bowling provides a walkthrough for Call of Duty XP event
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling is featured in the video posted below the break, giving viewers a walkthrough of what to expect during Activision’s Call of Duty XP event, which takes place in L.A. this weekend. Attendees will be able to get their hands-on the debut of Modern Warfare 3′s multiplayer at the festivities, which will include performances from the Dropkick Murphy’s and Kanye West. Will Arnett will be on hand at the event too, showing off a short film he has created which was inspired by the series, and a paintball field will be present as well. Sounds like it will be a fun time for all.

Activision’s announced overnight that Kanye West is to perform at Call of Duty XP. West, in what will be the rapper’s first performance since the release of his latest album, will close out the show on September 3 in Los Angeles. The event will also see Modern Warfare 3′s multiplayer unveiled for the first time and the full features list of Call of Duty Elite being announced as well.

London-based Call of Duty XP tournament announced
Activision’s announced details of a Call of Duty XP tournament happening in London on August 7. The event will consist of 32 clans fighting it out in a double-elimination qualifier at Leicester Square. The team of four who comes out trumps in the tourney will win an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles, where they will take part in the $1 million multiplayer tournament at Call of Duty XP in September to represent the UK. Teams will compete by playing Black Ops, whilst analysis will be offered through Call of Duty: Elite. You can sign up here.
