PS3 filmed crashing into LCD TV at high speed

ps3bravia

Sony Australia’s thrown a PS3 into a Bravia very quickly, filmed it very quickly then played it back very slowly. You can see the results after the break.

It’s part of a promo to give away an awful lot of free consoles, from the look of it.

It’s worth noting that the PS3 appears to be largely unscathed at the end of its ordeal. Fantastic build quality, there.

Sony confirms Netflix partnership… for Bravias

ps31

Sony’s announced a deal to bring Netflix to internet-enabled Bravia TVs, meaning owners of the sets will have access to the service’s thousands of movies out of the box.

Which is great. But there’s no mention of PS3 in the confirmation at all. A little odd, seeing as it’s the most obvious deal in the history of mankind.

Does MS have a console exclusive on the movie outlet? We should probably ask the question.

Bravias get Netflix in the US this autumn.

Sony gives away 28,000 PS3′s in Australia

Sitting squarely in the “not messing about” category, news surfaces today that Sony’s recent promotion to give away a 40Gb PS3 with every Bravia TV in Australia has resulted in 28,000 machines being handed out.

“On the Bravia PS3 offer, we’re now up to 28,000-plus – these are audited numbers from Sony. They have taken about a 30 percent market in flat screens for the month of January off the back of that promotion,” said SCE Australia boss Michael Ephraim.

The promotion ran for a month from December 21 last year. Any chance of the same thing in the UK, Sony? Please?
