Aeria Games receives undisclosed round of funding from Sony subsidiary
Aeria Games has received funding from Sony’s So-net Entertainment internet subsidiary. The undisclosed round of funding will help the firm continue to provide services to its 40 million users worldwide across all MMO titles. Currently, more than 1 million players join the service each month, and Aeria’s new office in Santa Clara, California plan to launch one to two mobile titles per month. Thanks, Gamasutra.

Need for Speed World now global through Aeria Games
As of today, Aeria Games has taken on free-to-play racing MMO Need for Speed: World, a product of EA Black Box and EA Shanghai released last year. The game is now available worldwide in English, French, Polish, Spanish, and Portuguese, and along with Battlefield Heroes, is the second EA Play4Free title to be adopted by the network. Shin Megami Tensei MMO goes into open beta
