Your Humble Bundle keys will no longer be redeemed automatically through Steam

If you got used to clicking one button to have your Humble Bundle keys transfer to your Steam account, we've got some bad news for ya.

Steam has elected to no longer support OAuth, a system that Humble Bundle has been using for a while to allow users to click a button for the game to be automatically redeemed on Steam account.

The retailer announced today that going forward, the old system will be back in place. The old system was basically copying the key from the Humble Bundle website to your Steam account's activation screen for every game.

The move affects purchases made after January 12, 2015.

While a minor inconvenience, we would've expected Valve to comment or even announce the move beforehand. This could have something to do with the recent housekeeping Valve has been doing to cut back on the number spammers and users with malware on their PCs.
