At China Joy 2017, Microsoft announced that The Regalia, the car our Final Fantasy XV boys road trip in, will be available for drivers in Forza Horizon 3. The car will be a free DLC for players who play either Forza Horizon 3 or Final Fantasy XV by August 1 (when the car is released).

Players will be able to redeem the Regalia via Forza's in-game messaging system, while Final Fantasy XV players will get a redeemable code for the Forza Horizon 3 Regalia in the Xbox Live messaging system.

Microsoft and Forza also released a launch trailer for the Regalia, with all the intricate attention to detail the Forza series has come to be known for. You can watch the trailer above, and read the attached statement from Microsoft below:

With its massive heft, intricate body details, and luxurious interior, the Regalia is a unique addition to the world of Forza Horizon 3. The team at Square Enix found inspiration for the Regalia's design from real-world models like the Cadillac Ciel concept car and the Maybach Exelero. In Forza Horizon 3, the car's size (nearly 21 feet long and seven feet wide) makes it a cruiser's delight. Take it for a slow-burn drive through downtown Surfers Paradise, or hit the Aussie freeway in the Outback and push that 7.2-liter supercharged V12 (offering up 536 hp) to its limit. The Regalia gives Forza Horizon 3 players the chance to experience true automotive royalty. Where you take it is up to you!

Both Final Fantasy XV and Forza Horizon 3 have gained reputations for some left-field cross-promotions. So the fact that the two games will cross-over with each other doesn't actually surprise me. Forza Horizon 3 previously had cars from games like Fallout and Hot Wheels, while Final Fantasy XV includes real-world Japanese brands for things like clothing, and particularly food.
