You won't have to wait long for more Mass Effect 4 info

Mass Effect 4 will be discussed during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, hopefully giving us some firm details at last.

Mass Effect developers from BioWare Edmonton and Montreal will be in attendance at the convenetion, and will participate in a panel on July 26. Here's the official description:

"Mass Effect developers from the Edmonton and Montreal studios discuss what it's like to expand on a well-established and beloved video game franchise. Panelists Carl Boulay (lead animator), Fabrice Condominas (producer), Mike Gamble (producer), Noel Lukasewich (senior artist), and Jessica Merizan (community manager), share their experiences in shaping the next Mass Effect game with new possibilities while staying true to the critically acclaimed series. Moderated by Nerdist.com."

Although that might not sound too revealing, BioWare has a habit of rewarding fans with more information than they bargained for. At past convention panels it has shown off concept art and discussed feature features, seeking feedback from the audience.

EA and BioWare have not confirmed that the next Mass Effect will be called Mass Effect 4, but since you all know what that means we just roll with it. We know very little about the project; it's E3 2014 cameo was brief and uninformative. We know it's playable, somewhere "in the middle" of development under the aegis of staff who worked on KOTOR, makes major changes but remains recognisable, will be respectful of previous games but won't star Shepard, and will share core mechanics with Dragon Age. We have speculated on whether it will be a prequel or sequel.

In other Mass Effect news, BioWare is seeking feedback on the series to help shape its future; give your opinion via this survey.

Thanks, Gamespot.
