You don't need to buy Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to try the PSVR experience

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Jackal Assault VR Experience is a free demo, not bonus content.

If your main motivation in picking up Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was the bundled PlayStationVR demo, cancel your order - it's actually free.

When first announced in September, the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Jackal Assault VR Experience was described as "free for all PS4 Infinite Warfare players", which turns out to be not quite correct. As detailed in a post on the Activision blog, it will in fact "be available to all PS4 owners, not just for players who have purchased the game, as a free, added bonus".

That's a lovely change, Activision; very generous. If you own a PlayStationVR unit, simply grab the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Jackal Assault VR Experience from the PlayStation Store when it goes live alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, releasing later today (depending on your timezone).

No word on whether the demo will come to PC and other VR headsets, but cross your fingers.
