Yakuza 5 to feature multiple Hatsune Miku cameos

Sega is bringing one of its most popular and successful faces into the gangaster drama Yakuza 5.

Hatsune Miku, the vocaloid who has gone on to star in a line of very popular rhythm action games in Japan, will appear in several forms in Yakuza 5.

Haruka will have a Hatsune Miku costume, for use in her rhytham action "battle" sequences.

Miku snow sculptures will be visible in towns, and toys toys will be available from Yakuza 5's in-game UFO catchers (like claw arm games).

Siliconera reports Sega announced the crossover in a NicoNico stream. Hatsune Miku games sell like crazy in Japan and local fans regularly petition Sony and Sega to bring her latest Vita title west.

Yakuza 5 is due in Japan in December exclusively for PlayStation 3; it hasn't been confirmed for western launch either.
