Yakuza 5: no plans for localisation as Yakuza Ishin development rolls on

Yakuza Ishin's chief creative officer Toshihiro Nagoshi has stated that there are no plans to localise Yakuza 5, seeing as the team is now hard at work on the next instalment.

Speaking with Edge, Nagoshi said, "We don't have a plan for that at the moment. The Yakuza Studio team is a fixed size, and we have to choose between forging ahead with the next game or localising the one that just came out."

The next game in question is Yakuza Ishin, and it too has not been confirmed for release beyond Japan's borders.

Would you like to see both games come to the west? Let us know below.

Meanwhile, you can read up on Yakuza Ishin's 'Another Life' mode and cross-play functions here.
