Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will get a prequel DLC adventure

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country charts the fall of a warrior 500 years before the core story.

There was once a time where Nintendo wasn't sure Xenoblade Chronicles could succeed with Western audiences. Now the the critically-acclaimed sequel is enjoyed by audiences worldwide, and Nintendo is following up that success with a DLC campaign.

Revealed at Nintendo's E3 presentation, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country is a prequel to the core game. Set 500 years before the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, its story follows a band of heroes defending their kingdom from the powerful Aegis, Malos. If you haven't finished the main game, spoiler alert: it doesn't quite work out for everyone involved.

On a gameplay front, Torna will feature a refined battle system that lets you fight as the artificial Blades and their masters, the Drivers. Not that fans needed an excuse to continue the story!
