Xbox Tournaments with Virgin Gaming app available this week

Gold Xbox Live subscribers in Canada, the Uk and the US will be able to download the Xbox Tournaments with Virgin Gaming app for Xbox 360 this week.

The app will be available on April 9, and encourages users of all skill levels to compete in daily, weekly and monthly leaderboard competitions for a chance to win a slice of the $100,000 cash prize pool.

Current competitions include FIFA 13, NBA 2K13, Madden NFL 13 and NHL 13, with more titles to be added in upcoming weeks.

To participate, you need a Virgin Gaming account, which you can sign up for through the app itself. The scheme will be expanded to more countries over the next few months, and Virgin also plans to add cash-play gaming and tournaments among other features.
