Dead Rising 4 release date confirmed

For a few hours there, the Xbox Store had the release date for Dead Rising 4.

Xbox Store lists Dead Rising 4 release date then pulls it

Dead Rising 4 was officially revealed at Microsoft's E3 2016 briefing. The game was announced for a holiday release, but was never given a solid date.

Earlier today, the Dead Rising 4 page on the Xbox Store listed a release date of December 6, before it was removed.

The December date is within the holiday window, which isn't surprising. The fact that it's been removed could indicate the date may not have been accurate, or that Microsoft is planning to reveal it properly in the future.

None of the big retailers have it listed for any specific date either, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Update: Microsoft has confirmed the December 6 date in in a statement issued to IGN.
