Xbox One shaky TV fix will drop "in a matter of weeks", says Microsoft

Microsoft will release a patch for Xbox One's notorious TV judder problem in a matter of weeks, according to Xbox UK's Harvey Eagle.

Aside from having the best name ever, Eagle also just confirmed that the UK's £399.99 Xbox One Titanfall bundle price-drop isn't coming to other countries. Get the skinny through the link.

Eagle discussed the problem with OXM. It occurs when playing your TV set-top box through Xbox One. It's because the console was built to display in the American 60hz setting, while British TV is 50hz. The result is a screen judder effect.

"I can't be precise with you today on a date, unfortunately," Eagle told the site. "I can tell you it'll be spring and therefore in just a matter of weeks we'll have that matter fixed. And it is an important one to fix."

The site also asked him where BBC's iPlayer app is. He replied, "I don't have any announcements on that today except to say we're working hard to bring partners like the BBC to our platform."
