Xbox One players can now link their accounts to Discord with the new firmware update

May's Xbox One firmware update rolled out this week, letting players link their Discord and Xbox accounts.

The May Xbox update is live, and as well as adding 120Hz refresh rate support, and additional video clipping tools, players can now link their Discord account to their Xbox account.

The option to connect to your Xbox account can be found in Discord, under the Connections tab in User Settings. Alternatively, you can go to Account Settings on your console. You'll find the Discord option under Linked Social Accounts. So now you can keep track of your friends and what they're up to during every waking minute of the day.

As well as that exciting tidbit, "120Hz support for 1080p and 1440p output resolutions on Xbox One S and Xbox One X" has also been added.

That means lower latency, and possible reduced tearing and stuttering.

Last month's update added a new sharing feature allowing players to upload screenshots and game capture directly to Twitter. This month's update adds the ability to trim footage directly from the Guide, without having to switch to Upload Studio first.
