Xbox Live digital midnight launches are the future Microsoft is building towards, says Spencer

Xbox Live could see digital midnight launches as a regular feature, according to Microsoft's Phil Spencer.

If you've ever attended a midnight launch before, you'll know they are often tiring, and involve standing around in the cold for ages before taking the next day off work. There's also the thrill of being among the first in your area to play a new game. That's kind of cool.

But that could be changing on Xbox One and Xbox 360, as Microsoft's Phil Spencer has stated that digital midnight launches are firmly on the company's radar.

It follows the early digital launch of Titanfall on America's east coast. It sounds like the move went well, and is now in the back of Microsoft's collective hive mind.

Would you like to see this become a regular feature worldwide?
