Xbox One a generation ahead of PCs? Not true, says Epic's Mark Rein

Xbox One was praised by EA's chief technical officer Rajat Teneja as being a generation ahead of high-spec PCs, something Epic Games' vice president Mark Rein has called out as false.

We reported on Teneja's comments here, in which he said of next-gen consoles, “These architectures are a generation ahead of the highest end PC on the market. Our benchmarks on just the video and audio performance are 8-10 times superior to the current gen."

His words prompted this response from Rein on Twitter:
