Xbox Live issues under investigation

Can't sign into Xbox Live? Microsoft is on the case.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One users report being unable to sign in to Xbox Live.
Microsoft is already aware of and working on the problem.
"Our team is hard at work right now trying to get this resolved. Thank you for staying patient while we work," Microsoft said.
There's been no mention of a possible cause for the outage.

Update: It looks like this has now been resolved.
