Xbox Live Gift Cards to become an option at Coinstar machines

Rixty, a digital payment company, is partnering with Microsoft to bring Xbox Live Gift Card to various divisions such as Coinstar and Great Lakes Scrip Center. This will allow customers to choose an Xbox Live or Windows Phone Store codes and gift cards in lieu of cash. Cards will range from $5-$100, so when you are taking your bucket of change to a Coinstar machines to sort for you, there will soon be an Xbox Live Gift Card and Gold Membership option. The kiosks offer other gift card options at the moment, such as GameStop, iTunes and Starbucks, which is usually the better deal as the 9% sorting fee is not charged when you pick the gift card option over the cash. No word on when to expect the options to become available. Thanks, Polygon.
