Dragon Quest Builders 2, Red Dead Online, Outlast 2 and more coming to Xbox Game Pass this month

Microsoft has revealed a whole bunch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass over the course of May.

The Xbox Game Pass new releases for May kick off with Dragon Quest Builders 2 (which was actually confirmed last week following a leak. The game is coming to PC and console Game Pass on May 4.

FIFA 21's May 6 release on EA Play also means the game will be available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and PC Game Pass on the same day.

Horror game Outlast 2 also arrives on May 6 for PC, console and cloud Game Pass. Ubisoft's extreme sports sim Steep joins the same day for console and cloud Game Pass.

On May 13, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster comes to PC and console Game Pass. You should also look forward to Just Cause 4: Reloaded on the same day, for PC, console and cloud Game Pass. Double Fine's mind-bending adventure Psychonauts likewise joins the service on May 13, available on PC, console and cloud Game Pass.

May 13 is the big day this month, it seems, because that's also when two more games will join the service. Red Dead Online is arguably the month's biggest game, available on console and cloud Game Pass. As the name suggests, this is only the game's online mode, and does not include the single-player story.

Finally, also on May 13, PC Game Pass members will be available to play the excellent Souls-like shooter/action game Remnant: From the Ashes.

As with every one of those Game Pass updates, Microsoft also outlined all the games leaving the service. See below for the full list, going away May 15.

  • Alan Wake (Console and PC).
  • Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 (PC).
  • Dungeon of the Endless (Cloud, Console, and PC).
  • Final Fantasy 9 (Console and PC).
  • Hotline Miami (PC).
  • Plebby Quest: The Crusades (PC).
