Watch Inside Xbox gamescom 2018 live show

Microsoft's Inside Xbox show is hosting a special episode today, live from gamescom 2018.

When Microsoft announced the news back in July, the company teased some Xbox One bundle and accessory reveals on the show. Could this be the rumoured Elite Controller 2.0?

Outside of hardware, we're also expecting to learn more about a few upcoming games, and maybe get a game announcement or two. Think of it as a live version of Nintendo's pre-recorded Direct presentations.

We're probably also getting new trailers for Xbox exclusives like Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, and Crackdown 3.

Microsoft confirmed today that other anticipated games like Battlefield 5, the Division 2, Metro Exodus, Devil May Cry 5, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will also make appearances.

The show kicks off at 7:30am PT, 10:30am ET, 3:30pm BST today. We've embedded the YouTube, and Twitch streams below, but you can also follow it on Mixer, Facebook, or Twitter.

The fist announcement of the day is Hunt: Showdown - the horror-themed battle royale, monster hunting game from Crytek - coming to Xbox Game Preview. Showdown is currently available on PC through Steam Early Access, but the developer didn't say when Xbox players can expect to see it.

The gameplay shown during the show had mouse and keyboard prompts, so the Xbox One release is likely a little ways off.

A short PUBG vidoc followed, revealing that the PUBG Xbox One 1.0 release is coming September 4. At launch, Xbox players can expect achievements, custom games support, and War mode.

The game's third map, Sanhok, will also be available on the same day on Xbox One.

Battlefield 5 was up next with a new trailer focusing on the game's many features, such as the ever-growing collection of soldiers called the Company, customisation for characters and weapons, weapon upgrades, and much more. It did not reveal any new information, however.

State of Decay 2's Daybreak Pack has been given a September 12 release date. This new perma-death-focused mode lets you spawn as a fully-geared Red Talon soldier on a map separate from the ones available in the main game. When you die, you spawn as a different soldier and continue the fight.

Although Daybreak isn't part of the main campaign, you will be able to take certain items back to your main game. The Blood Plague Juggernaut is a new enemy type that'll debut in Daybreak.

Rare then came on to show a new Forsaken Shores trailer for Sea of Thieves, and talk a little bit about it. This is the game's upcoming, free add-on which launches September 19 on PC, and Xbox One.

We switched gears to Fallout 76 when Bethesda's Pete Hines came on to explain the game's C.A.M.P. system, which allows players to move their settlements - at the cost of some caps - to anywhere on the map.

Microsoft announced during the livestream that THQ Nordic is bringing five Microsoft games to Steam, including ReCore, Zoo Tycoon, Super Lucky’s Tale, Disneyland Adventures, and Rush: A Disney-Pixar.

The upcoming Ori and the Will of the Wisps, due out in 2019, will include a new mode called Spirit Trials, which Microsoft unveiled on the show. Speed Trials are challenge courses spread all over the game world that you can enter anytime to take a break from the main story. You can watch Spirit Trials video through here.

They're designed to reward speed and precision, and will track your performance and compare it against that of your friends'. You're also competing for in-game rewards on top of the bragging rights.

Capcom was up next with the first gameplay trailer for Devil May Cry 5. Not only that, the trailer also revealed the game's release date of March 8.

Devil May Cry 5 developer went on to show the boss fight featured in the game's playable gamescom 2018 demo. Dante also showed up at the end of the trailer, and we did get a slightly deeper look at his attacks. It looks like his bike won't just be for show.

More details will be revealed at TGS.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft revealed, is coming to Xbox Game Pass on September 1.

Finally, DayZ has been given a release date on Xbox One. DayZ launches on Xbox Game Preview on August 29. Developer Bohemia Interactive then came on stage to show off fresh gameplay footage.

The Division 2, as expected, did feature on the show. Ubisoft ran a new story trailer, but that's about it.

Eidos Montreal and Square Enix showed new gameplay footage of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and touched a bit on the expanded challenge tombs, crypts, and regular tombs in the game. For the first time, even the puzzles you interact with will be dangerous, making for a very challenging experience.

Playground Games' Ralph Fulton demoed Forza Horizon 4's Team Adventure, the game's new competitive PvP mode. In this mode, progress made by you and any of your teammates contribute to the overall team score.

Fulton also explained how the game seamlessly switches between online free roam and offline free roam if you lose connection, without kicking you back to a menu or causing any loss of progress.
