Xbox 720 manufacture to spike from Q3, parts shipping now - rumour

Xbox 720 components are being shipped from suppliers now, in early anticipation of a Q3 spike in demand from retailers and consumers alike.

Digitimes sources across various electronic manufacturing plants have claimed that the surge in demand will boost the financials of all component manufacturers involved in the Xbox 720 supply chain.

The console will be assembled in China, across various Foxconn plants, which were recently brought to light following accusations of poor worker treatment and suicides. Apple currently manufacturers its devices at the same facilities.

Inside the Xbox 720, the sources claim that the machine's disc drive is manufactured by Lite-On IT, lenses are being crafted by Asia Optical and Newmax, while the rig's internal cooling systems are being made by Jentech Precision Industrial.
