Xbox 360 sells just 6,000 units in Japan

The Xbox 360's troubles in Japan are obviously still continuing as Microsoft managed to sell just 6,000 units in all of Japan from May 16 to June 12.

Andriasang.com recently posted a translation of sales rankings from Japan's Famitsu magazine which show the Xbox 360 and its software struggling quite a bit.

Along with the low hardware sales came low game sales as well. The top seller for the month was Phantom Breaker with 13,300, as well as Akai Katana Shin with 7,220 units sold. Behind those two came Portal 2 and Dance Central, at 5,240 and 4,130.

The article also shows that Kinect, which was anticipated to perform poorly in the region (due to the size requirements of Kinect being too large for average Japanese homes and apartments) sold 2,680 in the same period and has sold 99,900 to date.
