Xbox 360 cloud saves will soon be free for Xbox Series X/S

Xbox 360 owners will be able to transfer cloud saves to Xbox Series X/S for free.

You will no longer have to be an Xbox Live subscriber to use cloud saves to transfer your Xbox 360 games to Xbox Series X/S.

When the consoles launch, you will be able to transfer over your 360 games using the cloud.

Once you hit the power button on your new console, you will be able to start downloading all 360 games that are backward compatible. If you have them on disc, just pop them into the Series X drive.

"Preserving the games of our past is fundamental to our DNA at Xbox and our continued promise to you," said Microsoft. "Backward compatibility lets you experience your cherished gaming memories again and in new ways. Your favorite games retain everything the original developer intended while experiencing enhancements and exciting new features."

These features include faster loading times, HDR, and better frame rates.

Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launch on November 10.
