World of Warplanes 1.2 update adds new eSports  functionality

World of Warplanes has received a new 1.2 update that will better prepare the free aerial shooter for the eSports circuit.

In a press release sent to VG247 this morning, Wargaming.net confirmed that update 1.2 will add new camera functions that will facilitate live streaming, and make the game more exciting watch online. Players will also have the option to create replays of their best battles and help others learn new skills.

There are also post-battle stats and a new Battle Missions component that will throw new combat objectives at players that when completed, result in bonus credits.

In a statement, Vlad Belozerov, director of global operations for World of Warplanes said, "The upcoming update will heighten gameplay experience, injecting it with depth and comfort. "Our goal is to grow World of Warplanes into a game that is exciting to watch via live steams and gratifying to play, be it on casual or pro level.”
