World of Warcraft spotlight provides an overview of Legion's ancient elven metropolis, Suramar City

Suramar is a new maximum-level zone in World of Warcraft: Legion, and if you have yet to hit the sweet 110 spot, Blizzard has provided an overview of the city which lies "at the heart of the Broken Isles."

This is where the warlock Gul’dan sits in the palace of Suramar, scheming. And since players will have had to reach max level before entering the zone, players will be able to gradually explore all the nooks and crannies and enjoy the story at their own pace.

The zone has a "little follow-up" for Val’sharah, with some druids "who have come in as refugees from the Nightmare," some Vrykul and underwater experiences and the Burning Legion will be encountered by players.

A look "from the inside" at the Nightborne will be provided through a disguise mechanic. This will allow player to become part of their society in order to experience what it's like to be a Nightborne. Players will also get quests from Nightborne characters using the disguise mechanic, otherwise, they would have been hostile and ready for a fight - as Suramar City is considered a hostile adventure area.

In the zone is a place called Falanaar which is bigger than a dungeon, and is made up of an underground network of ancient, elven-build halls. The entire area of the max-level zone is 10,000 years old and is collapsed in parts, and players will be able to explore its depths.

There’s a World Boss located here as well, and due to different entrances to the underground area, it should "make it fun" for players to explore.

"We wanted to make sure we really built it with the end-game in mind," said senior game designer Steve Burke. "We wanted to make sure players had plenty to do. I think that the World Quests are rewarding and going to pull you all across the expansion, and then when you’ve knocked those out for the day, this is the place you’re going to come back to so that you can absorb the story.

"It plays out over time and will lead up to the raid that will be available here later. I hope people live here when they aren’t in their Order Hall or out doing World Quests."

If you head over to the post on Battle.net, you can find out more on the zone, the different area of the city and its surroundings as well as how once you reach max level you will acquire the quest to get there.

We didn't want to spoils those bit for you just in case.

Legion is the sixth expansion for World of Warcraft and it was released earlier this week.
