Wolfenstein: Youngblood launches on PC one day early

You may get to spend a bit of time with Wolfenstein: Youngblood before QuakeCon kicks off.

Bethesda has revealed some good news for those looking forward to Wolfenstein: Youngblood on PC. The game will unlock one day early on PC, meaning Thursday, July 25 rather than Friday, July 26.

This full 24-hour early launch is only happening on PC, though Bethesda did not say why. The Youngblood pre-load kicks off today on most platforms, so this is extra good news for PC players who have the game pre-ordered.

The game's Steam page has yet to be updated with the new date, but we're hoping this will change soon. It's unlikely Bethesda will reserve the early launch for its own store.

In other Youngblood news, those hoping to try out its ray tracing features sadly won't be able to do so at launch. Ray tracing support is still on the way, but its release date is currently unknown.

Also launching this week is Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, the VR off-shoot coming to PS VR and Vive headsets on July 26.
