Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus gets new PC patch to enable Steam overlay, fix file deployment problems in certain regions

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus developer MachineGames pushed out a beta patch for the game earlier this week, before quickly releasing it for everyone.

The patch reenables the Steam overlay for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, something that's been driving people a bit mad when everyone thought something is wrong with their PC.

Among the other helpful changes is a fix for an issue that prevented players in Japan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia from downloading all game files.

The update enabled Async compute for AMD users, but disabled it for 1080ti owners temporarily until a driver fix has been released. Finally, the game will now detect your GPU driver version and tell you when it's out of date.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One to a pretty decent critical reception.
