Windows Blue codename dumped for Windows 8.1, will be a free update

For those who have switched their OS over to Windows 8, Microsoft announced today during the JP Morgan's Technology, Media, & Telcom Conference that Windows Blue will be a free update, and it has been officially dubbed Windows 8.1. There still isn't an exact release date for it, and details on its contents are still scarce, but CMO and CFO Tami Reller said it will be free and a public preview is slated for June 26 during Microsoft's Build conference. Surely there is a gaming update of sorts in it, but if not, some of you play games on PCs running W8, so hopefully this is good news. Thanks, Engadget.
