Wildstar's graphics are getting an upgrade

Wildstar, released last year, is gearing up for a visual overhaul.

The MMO, which is going free-to-play on September 29, will receive several improvements in its upcoming Wildstar: Reloaded update.

The changes are detailed on the official website's news page. Dramatic improvements are being made to the game's lighting.

"We’re going back and making it more realistic by increasing the number of sources that light up the environment", the post says. "We've also added effects such as the rays from an otherworldly star—or a glow from a campfire—that all go into bringing the look and feel of an environment together."

"While still fairly time-intensive, it’s allowing us to make some dramatic improvements to the visual quality of the game without needing to touch the already high-quality models and textures in the game."

The post contains a full before and after gallery of screenshots. We've gathered up the 'After' screens to showcase the changes below.

Thanks, PCGamesN.
