Wii hits 26 million units globally

According to this Jeux-France piece, Wii's hit 26 million unit sales globally. The figure apparently comes from Stephan Bole, chairman of Nintendo France.

“Wii remains at the head of the console race, with the consumer dynamics such as the strong surge of women, and seniors, bringing new people into the industry," he said.

It's in French. We're not. So don't blame us if this is bollocks.
