I spawned with peaches. Peaches rule. There is no question. I will, however, say that pears are a close second. Aside from being my favorite fruit offering in real life, no one has pears. They are the rarest currency, at least in my groups, and I covet the pear trees of my friends. Really, cherries are the only bad fruit.

Mathew Olson, Reporter

I've never started an Animal Crossing game with peaches, and in New Horizons, they were the last fruit I managed to get growing on my island. I have one (1) full-grown peach tree now, and even though I think apples and cherries look better on trees (and that oranges have the best crafting recipes), I've decided that peaches are the fruit to have. Gonna make a whole grove for them.

Caty McCarthy, Senior Editor

Cherries are the best fruit for one reason only: They look cute on a tree. In New Horizons, you can craft really cute cherry lights or cherry speakers with them too. Sure, that one peach chair is super cute; and yes, I made an apple hat the other day. But folks: cherries are number one. I do miss durians though.
