What would DICE LA leading projects mean for Battlefield fans?

Battlefield support studio DICE LA may soon be leading projects rather than helping its Swedish big brother.

Responding to an IGN article in which EA Studios boss Patrick Soderlund said it's "highly likely" we'll see DICE LA serving as lead developer on its own projects soon, Battlefield expert Westie discusses the potential ramifications for the franchise moving forward.

The Los Angeles offshoot of DICE set up shop in 2013, and contributed to Battlefield 4 along with multiple Frostbite 3.0 projects. It is led by core DICE veterans and includes many members of shuttered Medal of Honor: Warfighter developer Danger Close.
