We know Battlefield 1 has a single-player campaign component, even if DICE has so far been uncharacteristically quite about it. We're getting a big trailer today, but before that, let's see if we can deduce some of what this campaign will let us do.

In the video, Westie comes up with a good theory about the campaign's setting and some of the roles it will put us in, based on the ESRB rating details, last night's teaser, and older footage/shots.

In true Battlefield tradition, it seems we're going to have missions that let us pilot or be a gunner of a fighter plan, and maybe operate a tank and armoured vehicles. Some of the footage we saw in the very first trailer are also likely from the campaign, and when you connect everything together, it starts to make sense.

It will no doubt all become a bit clearer later today when the trailer hits.
