What if Destiny was a retro 2D platformer?

Bungie is marking its 25th anniversary with Destiny's Moments of Triumph, but one player decided to celebrate by releasing a new version of the game. Created by Destiny fan Brenton "Helix3333" Whitwell, "Project Tiger" is a retro platformer where a Titan hero explores Earth, fights enemies, and eventually faces a large Servitor as a boss character.

Even better, unlike some demakes Project Tiger is fully playable. PC and MAC versions can be downloaded here, while the video above gives you an idea of what to expect. On the whole, it's a great diversion for Destiny fans, and seeing the Traveller looming in the background was an especially nice touch. Here's hoping Project Tiger can be fleshed out with other levels and classes in the future.
