Weapons in DUST 514 include an autocannon, plasma rifle, and a cool knife

CCP has posted more details on the weaponry in Dust 514 over on the EU PS Blog. Like previous entries, the firm shows some of the weapons on offer, the specs for each, and the types of playstyles each will suit. Speaking of suits, the update mainly goes into detail regarding how weapons can affect the player's armor: for example, the Minmatar MH82-BCR Personal Autocannon can only be carried by the heavy dropsuit, but it can provide the wearer with more roles than just dealing with armored vehicles or swarms of grunts.The Gallente CRG-3 Plasma Shotgun was also detailed, and for those times when you have someone all up in your grill, CCP has created the Caldari ZN-28 Nova Knife - which has a heated plasma edge to the blade and can "carve through even the thickest dropsuit armor." Nice.

The shooter, with direct, two-way ties to EVE Online, is currently in closed beta, and expected sometime this spring.
