Microsoft named Steve Ballmer's successor earlier this week, ushering in Satya Nadella as the company's new CEO. Watch his unveiling here.

According to Microsoft's Phil Spencer, Nadella is very much a supporter of the Xbox brand, which could pour cold water on rumours that the company's gaming arm is going to get cut adrift.
It was sources close to former Nokia boss - and potential Microsoft CEO candidate - Stephen Elop who started that rumour by the way.
