Watch how closely Destiny 2's Homecoming cutscene pays tribute to original Destiny

On the eve of the release of Destiny 2, here's a nice little tribute to the original game.

As detailed in our Destiny 2 guide, the Homecoming mission kicks off the single-player campaign in style, nuking The Tower and seeing our Guardian kicked and beaten by new villain Ghaul and his Red Legion.

It's a great opening piece, and one you'll have experienced if you took part in the recent Destiny 2 beta on PC or console. But the opening cutscene for Homecoming is actually built around the first mission of vanilla Destiny, released three years ago.
