Watch Fallen take a flaming axe to the head inside Destiny: Rise of Iron's Archon's Forge

Archon's Forge is a new public event in Destiny: Rise of Iron. Here's a look at it.

Watch on YouTube

The public activity is similar to Court of Oryx, according to Arekkz, only much more Horde-like with waves of Fallen enemies - as opposed the Court's boss focused encounters. The enemies come out of domes inside the Forge and once dispatched, players will have to contend with a boss.

Alex says in the video that the gameplay segment you see was the beginner-level, as those who participated in the preview weren't given an option to try it at a higher level. This event is triggered once the player presents a Fused Siva Offering. These offerings are necessary of you want to access Archon's Forge.

While watching, you will notice that while in Archon's Forge, Alex had the opportunity to use the lovely flaming Axe on some of those bothersome Fallen.

It appears that Archon's Forge will be one of the best places to help level your Light early on in the game as well. Plus, it will also have its own armor drop.

If you missed the video he posted earlier, it gives you a look a platforming puzzle on the side of Felwinter Peak. Later this week, a video giving you a tour of the new Felwinter social space will be posted.

Also, in more Rise of Iron goodness, Bungie also released the launch trailer for it this afternoon.

The expansion will go live for PS4 and Xbox One on September 30 alongside Destiny: The Collection.
