Watch Dogs was not perfect in any way, Watch Dogs 2 will take more risks, says dev

Watch Dogs 2 is not yet a thing, but when it is, it will have to do more than make good on the promise of the first game.

Despite not there being an official announcement of a sequel to Watch Dogs, we know it's inevitable. And so does Ubisoft, which is why it's taking a different approach to its development early on, according to a new interview with creative director Jonathan Morin in GamesTM.

"The challenge when we made the first game was to create something that would make people dream about something else”, said Morin on the first game.

Morin went on to add that he doesn't believe the first game was "perfect in any way" and that some of elements that didn't quite work became clearer when people started playing the game.

"With a sequel, there is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way. You have to carry on taking risks," said Morin about the inevitable Watch Dogs 2.

The systems the team is looking into for the sequel are things like letting players create their own stories in the game.
