Watch Dogs: Legion reviews round-up, all the scores

After multiple delays, it is finally time to see if Watch Dogs: Legion has been worth the wait.

Watch Dogs: Legion, essentially the first next-gen game of the year, releases this week on PC and current-gen consoles. While we all wait for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to arrive, lets actually see how it fared with critics.

Legion is the third Watch Dogs game, and though it uses certain elements and concepts from the series, it is not a direct sequel to either of the two games. Legion takes place in near-future London, under siege by an army of mercenaries who operate under the guise of keeping the peace following a terrorist attack.

In this bleak, post-Brexit London, civil liberties are trampled on in the name of public safety. With this new totalitarian rule comes a new era of surveillance, which you'll be fighting against alongside the remains of hacktivist group DedSec.

Watch Dogs: Legion's biggest, and most interesting new mechanic is that any random NPC can become a protagonist. As a DedSec agent, you'll go around looking for a special set of skills, or certain access. Once you find a potential recruit, you only need to do a loyalty mission for them and they become part of the team.

At that point, you can play as them for the entire game, or switch to/recruit anyone else should the need arise. Ubisoft made use of some clever voice modulation tech and hired a large number of actors to make every individual believable.

Without further ado, here are the reviews for Watch Dogs: Legion. Keep in mind that this is based on PC and current-gen console code. Reviews for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be available closer to their respective launches.

Watch Dogs: Legion is out October 29 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Xbox Series X version drops November 10, followed by PS5 on November 12. The game supports ray tracing and DLSS on PC. On next-gen consoles, ray tracing will be available as an option.
