Best Warzone Pacific Season 3 meta loadouts

A monstrous season is coming to Warzone Pacific. If you're looking to perform well on launch, here are the best loadouts to bring to season 3.

Warzone Season 3 is finally out! For players looking to jump into the new and improved Caldera, having the best meta loadout ready to go is crucial for nabbing those early wins. The meta has undergone slow and steady chances over the past few months, although the pace has kicked up somewhat thanks to the surge in adjustments made during the Season 2 Reloaded update.

While many of the most broken weapons have seen substantial nerfs, we’ve also seen lesser-used weapons receive continuous small buffs that have boosted them up into respectable positions. As such, the meta is in a good place for the most part, especially if you’re a fan of assault rifles and SMG loadouts.

All of the weapons we recommend below are perfectly usable across all playlists o both Caldera and Rebirth Island. With the relatively recent increase of health pools across all maps, you’ll see a common thread of large magazine sizes in order to ensure other players you engage will go down in one clip.

We’ll keep this page updated as the meta changes, so be sure to head back at a later date to make sure you’re ahead of the curve when it comes to packing the best guns.

Best Warzone Loadouts

Taking into account the opinions of top players, streamers, and the community at large, these are the best Warzone loadouts you can build.

We’ll try to give a mix of suggestions for new players just starting out, intermediate players looking to step up to the next level, and top-tier picks that require the highest level gear.

Best loadouts for Vanguard beginners - STG44 and MP40

If you’re starting out in Warzone with a brand new copy of Call of Duty: Vanguard, you may feel daunting at the sheer number of guns you simply don’t have access to. Thankfully, the STG44 is the perfect gun for you. Not only is it usable straight away without having to grind for levels, it packs a huge amount of damage without much recoil at medium to long distances.

  • Muzzle: F8 stabilizer,
  • Barrel: VDD 760mm 05B
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: VDD Weighted
  • Underbarrel: m3 ready grip
  • Magazine: .30 Russian short
  • Ammo Type: lengthened
  • Rear Grip: stippled grip
  • Perk: Vital Proficiency
  • Perk 2: on-hand kit

But what do you do if the fights are up close and personal? That’s when the MP40 comes into play - another powerful weapon that’s usable at level one in Call of Duty: Vanguard. It’s high rate of fire, combined with a general ease of use, make it a dream to use in buildings. All you have to be wary of is the damage falloff at longer ranges.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Krausnick 317MM 04B
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Krausnick 33M Folding
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: 9MM 64 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Perk: Brace
  • Perk 2: Quick

Best loadouts for beginners - Gorenko Anti-tank Rifle and PPSH

If assault rifles aren’t really your thing, a sniper SMG combo may be exactly what you’re looking for as you venture into Warzone for the first time. Now, we used to put the Kar98k here, which was arguably the best sniper in the game prior to the Warzone Pacific Season 3 sniper nerf. Now, with the Kar's ankles broken, you'll want to bring the Gorenko Anti Tank Rifle as a powerful one-shot kill option.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: 420mm Empress
  • Optic: Personal Preference (Long Range)
  • Stock: Reinforced Stock
  • Underbarrel: Bipod
  • Magazine: 13mm AM 10 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Leather Grip
  • Perk: Shrouded
  • Perk 2: Deep Breath

To make the most out of the Gorenko, you’ll need a close quarters weapon that can be quickly pulled out in order to storm a building or rush an injured enemy squad. For this, the PPSH fits perfectly. With a crazy-high fire rate and complemented by attachments like quick and Hollow Point ammo, this gun is the perfect tool for those moments you need to get up in people’s faces.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: ZAC 300MM
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Empress Custom
  • Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Magazine: .7.62 Gorenko 71
  • Ammo Type: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Rubber Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2:Quick

Warzone loadout - HDR and OTs 9

Another sniper build for those with a bit more experience in Warzone, alongside access to the full selection of guns previous Call of Duty games provided. This is where the Swiss used to go, but there's also a long history of high-calibur that are in a great spot now, like the HDR. This sniper is a old-school classic, able to pick off enemies in a single shot from any range.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
  • Laser: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Magazine: M1941 Hand Stop

To back up this long-distance menace, a community favourite SMG picks up the slack in face-to-face gunfights. The OTs 9 has been a favoured option ever since it was added back in July 2021, having one of the fastest time-to-kills among all SMGs in the game. If you can work around the small magazine size, the huge damage output and rate of fire will keep you an unparalleled force of nature when things get personal.

  • GRU Suppressor
  • 8.1" Task Force
  • Serpent Wrap
  • VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag
  • KGB Skeletal Stock

Warzone loadout - BAR and Own Gun

The BAR is a fantastic assault rifle for those able to hit their shots consistently. Even with the perfect attachments, the slow fire rate means you’ve got to make every hit count in a firefight, making this a great weapon only for the more skilled portion of Warzone’s player base. With boons like a large magazine size and a great damage per shot on target, the BAR is a powerful gun in both solo lobbies and quads. A perfect “one AR fits all” for the talented player.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: Cooper 21″ Scythe
  • Optic: MK 3 Sunfilter
  • Stock: Cooper SP
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: .50 BMG 30 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Perk 1: Sleight of Hand
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

For a secondary weapon choice, we'll be using an SMG that has really risen in popularity since the launch of the Season 2 Reloaded update. This weapon deals some serious damage up close, and with its high rate of fire acts as a perfect counter balance to the BAR. WIth the right attachments, including a removed stock, lenghtened rounds, and a high-quantity magazine, the Owen Gun is perfect for clearing out buildings and rushing people down.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Hockenson 142mm Rapid
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 72 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Perk: Acrobatic
  • Perk 2: Quick

Warzone loadout - CR-56 Amax and Double Barrel Shotgun

There’s nothing quite as close to the hearts of older Warzone players than the Amax - an assault rifle so good that it remains a top contender in the weapon class even after significant nerfs. With its headshot modifier and attachments that keep the weapon steady when fired, players able to hit brain matter consistently will see this weapon push them to myriad Warzone wins.

  • Monolithic Suppressor
  • XRK Zodiac S440
  • Commando Foregrip
  • VLK 3x Optic
  • 45 Round Mags

The best thing to round this loadout around is to pair an old classic with a new one. The Double Barrel Shotgun , specifically with its akimbo perk, has also undergone serious nerfs as of late. However, even with these changes, the gun is a monster up close, able to tear through enemies like nothing else in the game. If the Amax is a precise scalpel, the Double Barrel Shotgun are more like a hammer. Aim in the right general direction and blast away.

  • Muzzle: M97 Full Choke
  • Barrel: Sawed Off
  • Optic: 1913 Variable 4-8X
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: M1915 Steady
  • Magazine: Double Aught
  • Ammo Type: Packed Powder
  • Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
  • Proficiency: Akimbo
  • Kit: Quick

Warzone loadout - DP27 and Automaton

Finally, an LMG! Oftentimes this weapon class doesn’t get enough love in Warzone, but the DP27 is a rare exception. The LMG has a massive magazine, so you’ll always have plenty of shots available before you need to reload this giant gun. It‘s also very easy to control for an LMG, which paired with good damage makes this weapon a powerful pick for any Warzone playlist.

  • Muzzle: recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Kovalevskaya 604MM
  • Optic: Monocular Reflector
  • Stock: ZAC S2M
  • Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip
  • Magazine: 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Perk: Hardscope
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

But what weapon makes sense when you don’t have time to mount up and lay down some sustained LMG fire? Enter the Automaton, a fantastic assault rifle that has always been strong but is really coming into its own as of late. High rate of fire, good damage, and easy to control - this weapon can be built for a multitude of purposes and excels in just about all of them.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: ZAC 600mm BFA
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Anastasia Padded
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drum
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
  • Perk: Frenzy
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

Warzone loadout - Bren and Welgun

There's no other way of cutting it, the Bren is amazing despite adjustments meant to bring it down to a reasonable level. Still able to pick of enemies at a distance with an easy to control recoil pattern and high rate of fire, the Bren is a quick-to-unlock, frustration-free weapon for every Warzone player regardless of skill level

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Queen's 705mm Royal
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Queen's Model 11 BH
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 40 Round Mags
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

But lets mix up this loadout with something just as good, but a tad newer. The Welgun, although still in its early days, has made a big impression on the Warzone community. If you can hit your shots accurately during intense close range fights, then the damage you’re able to pull off may very well make this gun the best SMG available. For a breakdown on the numbers, youtuber JGOD has released a detailed video going through all the intricacies of why the Welgun is so good, which we have linked to below.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster,
  • Barrel: Gawain Short
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine:9mm 64 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Incendiary
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Frenzy
  • Perk 2: Quick

What are loadouts in Call of Duty Warzone?

An intrinsic part of the Battle Royale genre is starting with nothing, and Call of Duty Warzone is no different.

As you glide down onto Caldera, you’ll have nothing but a pistol and your wits.

However, as the game progresses you’ll be able to pick up a customised loadout from an airdrop you call in yourself, or that’s randomly dropped somewhere across the map.

This will give you access to three perks of your choice, alongside decked out weapons of your choosing to help you fend off other players.

Bear in mind that these are the best loadouts for Warzone, not multiplayer matches, so there are a few questions you should keep in mind when building your personal loadout.

  • Are you playing solo, or as part of a team?
  • Are the other remaining players solo, or a team as well?
  • How long is left in the match, and what stage is the circle on?
  • What kind of loadout will be best suited to the locations the circle is forcing you into?

Regardless of how lucky you are, a well-built loadout is a far more consistent way of securing a Warzone win than relying on ground loot, and will allow you to perform at your best.

Where massive multiplayer Battle Royales like Warzone have a huge amount of randomness inherently in their design, pre-built loadouts provide the advantage of familiarity. So while obviously some loadout choices are stronger than others, being comfortable with your weapons of choice is key.

Warzone is a free-to-play game, but dedicated players who have been grinding out Vanguard, Cold War, and Modern warfare will have a huge advantage over other players in terms of loadout options available.

There’s no working around this reality, but hopefully you’ve spent the time leveling up in those games so you have as many choices as possible.

Beyond that, you may notice a running theme throughout the best loadouts: they usually have two primary weapons rather than a main weapon and a secondary.

There’s a good reason for that! The combination of a sniper and a mid-range AR or close range SMG has always been a far more powerful option than taking a classic sidearm. With Vanguard not really revolutionising secondaires, this likely won’t change with Caldera’s launch.

Activision Blizzard, the publishers of Call of Duty Warzone, are currently in the middle of a legal battle against the State of California over widespread harassment, following reports of rampant sexual miscoonduct in the workplace. CEO Bobby Kotick previously stated that there would be a zero tolerance policy for those found to be guilty of such misconduct, before allegations of his own misconduct were revealed by the Wall Street Journal.

Recently, Bobby Kotick has discussed potentially stepping down if he cannot fix these issues present within Activision Blizzard. Since the lawsuit started, Activision has been sued by shareholders for allegedly hiding the investigation into the company, had sponsors pull out from Overwatch and Call of Duty Leagues, and been called out by other industry giants such as PlayStation boss Jim Ryan.
