Find out what NeocoreGames had in mind when creating the game world of Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr.
Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr, the upcoming action-RPG from Van Helsing developers at NeocoreGames, has a new trailer that's devoted entirely to the game's open world. The video explains how studio is looking to eliminate the grind that comes with playing isometric action-RPGs.
Martyr starts you in one of the world's sub-sectors, which includes various systems each with different planets. The world will expand to unlock more sub-sectors, which tie into the storyline in the sector. You'll be able to influence these storylines together with other players, too.
The trailer then goes on to lay out how combining open-world with randomly generated missions and objectives is the way to go, before showing examples of the 50 different mission types you'll run into.
Even the tiles each level is based on are sourced from a wide range of locations and themes from the Warhammer 40K universe. It all looks very promising, even if there's not much gameplay in there.
Inquisitor - Martyr is out next year, first on PC.
